Write an article on the topic ‘Integrating Technology in Teaching Writing’

The learning of English has become more important due to the development of world and technology. As a results, teachers’ are now using some of the technology to interact with their students.  Using technology in teaching and learning is very common nowadays. It is no longer a new thing to us as it seems like everyone was using it.
In my opinion, I think that using such technology in teaching writing is good. One of it is the Electronic portfolio or E-portfolio. Through E-portfolio, ones can published their work online and their friends will be able to give feedback and comments. Besides that, the students are able to expand their creativity on using the templates. By using E-portfolio, they have the freedom to come up with any ideas which is relevant and acceptable.
However, there are the disadvantages of using it. The first one is the students will tend to use informal writing habits such as using short forms like what they do when using Facebook. The second one is decreased educational effectiveness within a classroom and allow for problems down the line in the child's schooling.
In conclusion, the using of technology is good but some may say that it is not as they have their own reason why they said so. So, there is no right or wrong answer for this. It depends on someone on how they think they can deal with it.

I have a dream- Martin Luther King

-I Have a Dream
Martin Luther King Jr.    August 28, 1963
I say to you today, my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American Dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident; thal all men are created equal".

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Alabama with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and little white girls as sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plains, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all the flesh shall see it together.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with.
With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.
With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.
With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.
This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning, "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my father died, land of pilgrims' pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring".
And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!

Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado! Let freedom ring from the curvacious slopes of California!
But not only that; let freedom ring from the Stone Mountain of Georgia! Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee. Let freedom ring from every hill and mole hill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring, and when this happens,

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty, we are free at last"!

I found two problems of this students essay. The spelling and the using of past tense. For example, football - foodball, because- beacuse. Moreover, the essay contained too much past tense which was not appropriate.

We I read through the essay, I noticed that the essay have it's content but the problem is just the spelling and the vocabulary. The student did not know what words should be used. In other words, the writer had a lack understanding in using language. We gave 16 marks as we found that the major mistakes was the mechanical errors which consists of the spelling and vocabulary. The Review

Wow...it's the first tutorial of teaching writing skills, and the most surprising was we are going to start our first assignment..oh please..but whatever it is, I honestly think that it is good, as what people always said, the earlier the better.yeah, that's right! There's a lot of things we discuss about..The topic was Integrating Social Networking Tools Into ESL Writing Classroom: Strengths and Weaknesses. Just to state my opinion, I would say that I am not really agree with this.Know why?? By using facebook for example, students are prone to use shorr forms and by doing so, it will become their habits especially when they sit for their exam.
But if we are to look at different perspectives, for instant, the parents will not be very happy when their children are busy with facebook all the time. The question is, are they really studying or not?? However the students themselves in other way will look at this in a different opinion.Especially those teenagers. Majority of them will love it for it is a kind of fun-learning method. How about the community?? Are they agree? Some will say that is good but some might just think that is is not a serious way of learning. However there is no answer of right or wrong for this as different people will look at it in a different way and thinking. It depends on us how we are going to judge it..
